LinkedIn Premium company pages
Most small businesses on LinkedIn use their profiles more than their company pages.
But LinkedIn has slowly been making company pages more appealing.
Now it’s set to offer Premium pages. Businesses that pay $99 a month will get additional features that include;
Invite people who visit your page to follow, auto-invite people who engage with your page to follow, and AI-assisted post-creation.

Meta can’t dodge EU privacy laws
If you are in the EU, Meta will have offered you an ad-free experience if you pay to use their services.
It’s Meta’s way of getting around privacy laws. For advertisers this is good news, you can still reach the majority of your audience.
But the European Data Protection Board (EDPB)is not happy. It has issued guidance that questions this approach.
If these guidelines are forced on Meta it could be bad news for advertisers and Meta. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.

Threads DMs
It seems odd that Threads was launched without the option to send a DM. It’s the first thing I noticed was missing from the platform.
But soon you’ll be able to send DMs with one strangeness.
When you click to send a DM you’ll be sent to the Instagram inbox.
It works, and it will be a nice way to deepen relationships with the people you meet there, and it means you don’t have to check multiple inboxes, it just seems odd.

US TikTok ban passed
Is TikTok’s future in jeopardy? If you rely on the platform for business success it could be time to move on.
Why? The US Senate passed the bill to ban TikTok and the president signed it. That gives TikTok 9 months or so to sell or it will be banned.
Does this spell the end of TikTok in the US? Maybe not, TikTok is likely to go to court for an injunction giving it more than the 9 months offered to sort out their problems.

WhatsApp AI images
AI images can help businesses break free from those terrible stock images.
Soon you will be able to generate and share these images directly within a WhatsApp chat.
In a beta test, some users in the US can create images using a prompt starting with the word ‘imagine’. They are also able to animate still photos.
Like Gifs, this could be a fun way to set a mood or add context to your words.
What will you use it for?

TikTok voice cloning
Both TikTok and CapCut are working on a feature that will clone your voice.
Read a sample script and it will save your voice for use in videos.
Which is cool for when you have an off day or lose your voice. TikTok isn’t the first tool to do this and it’s something we will see more of in the future.
But the fear is there that once the internet copies your voice, people will be able to make you say anything they want it to.

AI avatars for your TikTok ads
Creators and Influencers help you reach a new audience and sell on TikTok.
But there’s a whole lot of work involved to find the right people and ensure everything runs smoothly.
It seems that TikTok is working on AI influencers. Pretend people who will read a prompt-generated script for you.
Apparently, these fake people aren’t ready to go yet, and in test don’t attract as many sales as real people. But I imagine it won’t be long until we have access.
