This week on the Digital Coffee
🤔What LinkedIn Tool do we need to say goodbye to?
🐦Could Twitter be about to launch stories?
🔘Facebook gives us more newsfeed control
Say goodbye to LinkedIn Sales Navigator Extension
- Made it easy to connect to people from your Gmail inbox
- You could view profiles of the people who mailed you
- LinkedIn say it was lack of use
- Can still use similar tool on Outlook (owned by Microsoft).
Facebook is making a discover page for stories
- More people are using them
- Facebook are pushing us towards them more than the feed
- And now there will be a tab or discover page for ‘all stories’
- More chance for customers to discover your stories

Could Twitter Be Launching Stories?
- They just bought a stories creation app
- Chroma helps you create more interesting graphic stories
- Could this mean stories or just better image editing options?

You’ll soon be able to pin to your profile on LinkedIn
- As first seen by Julia Bramble
- Feature content for when people visit your profile
- Should it be a CTA or something else (I think a lead magnet CTA)

TikTok allows link in bio
- Another tactic to attract marketers?
- Previously add Insta and YouTube links
- Over last few weeks we’ve had ads and uploading from desktop
- They need marketers to survive but will it upset their users

Facebook may give us more control of newsfeed
- Most relevant, most recent, already seen
- Could this mean more views for page content?
- Making it easier to re-see business posts too

It’s easier to add a new tweet to an old thread
- For recent tweets at least
- Twitter is serious about threads
- Will we see longer tweets soon or does this format work
I think threads rock

Question: Do you read Twitter threads?
Yes, but only if the first few tweets are engaging enough.
Watching from bed #halfterm
I’m on a triple espresso. Only way to start the morning!
They need to do something because the engagement on stories is bloody awful
Hmm, not really
If they added the possibility of adding a story to an individual tweet it could add context to a tweet in an interesting way.
Oooh, thatâs cool!
Deffo do a video, prob a highlights trailer of what I do
So you tweet your text and your image but there may be a back story, so if you tweeted info about your product you could do a 3 section story showing perhaps product setup or 3 different uses for a product. …. hard to explain but I can see it in my head.
Indeed
Aww – Thank You – We both loved having you and Kate đ
I need to catch up on last weeks episode – Life has been so manic and I rely on your show each Friday to keep up with stuff…
If I see something on FB I want to review later I always save them and then I do a session of reviewing my saved items. I have a few different lists in my saved items for categorised content.
Iâm sure saw that option on my Twitter yesterday … at the top there was a bar saying âAdd tweet this to an existing Tweetâ
I am inherently nosey so when I see a thread that looks interesting I find myself reading all the comments from everyone đ
Itâs gone now …. I was in Czech Republic , I wonder was it location based feature test?
See I always mean to do this and never do. I do use it for keeping news stories for this show though.
