This is the first ever Spiderworking.com Christmas Gift Guide. I asked on Facebook and Twitter for you to let me know what you had on offer for Christmas shoppers and I have compiled most of them into this mammoth blog post. I’m sure you’ll find something that would make a great gift for someone you know here.
Enjoy browsing.
Cover Those Bingo Wings – Dolledup.ie
OK I know this is one for me, as I get older I become more and more conscious of those bingo wings, I’m not even a girly girl but i do love strappy dresses on occasion. This would work really well with any dress or top and is available from dolledup.ie.
Get fancy nails for Christmas
I’m also going through a bit of a nail varnish phase at the moment. Maybe as we got so many great colours in our goody bags at the Blog Awards this year. I’m no expert at the fancy stuff though so nail wraps may be just the solution. Some pretty cool ones here from Jamberry Nails. I’m in a bit of a goth phase at the moment so these black and white ones stood out.
Portraits & A Great Offer
Robert Redmond Studios based in my home town of Athy, Co. Kildare and Portlaoise just down the road have an amazing gift offer on at the moment. If you spend €50 on a voucher you can exchange it for a €200 portrait package in the new year. This would be a great gift for a family or a business person, we all need head shots after all. I grabbed myself one of these as soon as I saw them. Watch out for a lovely picture of myself and Lorna for We Teach Social in 2014.
Jewellery
I’m not really a jewellery person but I do like pendents, this one also comes in my favourite colour, purple. They have lots of stuff in the store too, you’re bound to find something for someone
If you are buying for someone really special take a look at this beautiful Diamond ring. You really can’t beat Diamonds, I have one and I love catching the sparkle of it out of the corner of my eye. Of course City Jewelers have a huge range of beautiful Jewellery so if €900 is out of your price range take a browse around the rest of their shop
Become The Perfect Parent – Learn To Cook For Your Kids
I love the idea of Mummy Cooks, we know that we should be very aware of what we are feeding our kids but it can be hard with busy work schedules particularly when the child is weaning.
If you know a Mum, Dad or Grandparent who’d like to make better food for their baby a gift voucher for Mummy Cooks would make a great gift.

Beautiful Blankets from The Cutest Sheep
I absolutely love the hand woven blankets created from Zwartbles sheeps wool, designed by Suzanna at Zwartbles Ireland. If you want a beautiful quality gift this is it. You can also purchase the wool online and knit your own.
Trees – Not The Sort You Hang Baubles On
Trees make amazing gifts, I’ve bought them in the past for friends to celebarte significant birthdays. These Christmas themed ones fro Treeco would make great gifts for anyone with a garden and they will keep being a good gift year in and out.
For the Would Be Gardener
One day I will get my garden sorted! Maybe someone nice will buy me a gift card from Greenside Up so that Dee can kick start me.
I bought a seed box from Greenside Up for a family member last year and they were delighted. I’m kinda hoping Santa remembers I’d like one myself this year. Gift vouchers and seed boxes available from the Greenside Up Website here.
Crocheted Toys
As an aunty I find buying for my nieces particularly challenging, particularly the youngest one. These cute cuddly crocheted toys from Toybox.ie would be perfect for her. I really, really love the Gorilla one.
For the Football Fan
Football is not my thing but I know that those who love it really do love it, in fact I have seen year long footie conversations going on on Twitter. So if you need to buy for a Soccer addict here’s some ideas from Total Giftz, this set features Arsenal but there are lots of other team branded items available too.
Dogs For The Disabled Charity Calendar
As you probably know I’m a bit of an animal lover, I’m not too sure if the cats would be impressed if I brought this home but who can resist that cute pup on the cover. Great gift and it’s a feel good one too as you will be supporting a very worthy cause.
For the Grandparents
I love this framed print from Prints For Gifts, I know lots of Grandparents who could relate to it. There’s loads of other gifts available on their site too.
Hand carved candles
I’ve known Paula for Candle Designs for years and her candles are beautiful. She puts a lot of love and care into each engraved candle and you can get them personalised too. These come with the gold seal of approval from me.
Foodie Gifts
One of these is making its way to Scotland at the moment for my parents to enjoy over the Christmas break. Hampers are brilliant gifts and these are full of local artisan products from Kilkenny.
Christmas Dinner
I love Christmas dinner, sitting around the table with the family, eating, eating and eating until you pop. If you are Dublin based I would highly recommend paying one of the Kerrigans Butchers stores a visit, they have shops in Donaghmede, Baldoyle and Malahide. Great value, great quality and probably the most friendly staff I’ve even met. This is the place to get your Turkey!
Oh and you can win your entire Christmas dinner from Kerrigans, just enter their Facebook competition here.
Christmas Reading
I couldn’t sign off without recommending Lorna’s new book ‘Would You Marry An Irish Farmer’. A humorous look at the trials and tribulations of being married to a farmer. I have copies of this going out to friends and family around the country but am looking forward to sitting down after Dr. Who and reading my very own copy. Get your copy here.
Hope you all have a fabulously profitable and peaceful Christmas break.
