Beat Bloggers Block With Written? Kitten! – Cool Tool

One way to beat bloggers block is to reward yourself when you attain goals. That’s exactly what this weeks cool tool Written? Kitten! does. Each time you reach a pre defined number or words it rewards you with a picture of a cat. The images are sourced via Flickr Creative Commons.

If you are not a cat lover you can change the settings to show you something more relevant. For example type “http://bigboardroom.com/writtenkitten.net/?search=dog” into your address bar and you will receive a new dog photo for each 100 words you write.

Whatever the picture type you choose there is something delightful about the sense of achievement you get when a new picture pops up reminding you that you are 100 words further through your task.

Here’s how it works:

  • Visit the Written? Kitten! website
  • Select how many words you have to type before you get your kitten reward
  • Start to type…

Take note –  some browsers do not auto save so make sure you cut and paste your work into a word document or blog post before leaving the site.

I know this tool works, I type and concentrate a lot better when I use it. This has been a two kitten post 🙂
