How to stop Google Alerts clogging up your inbox

If like me you use a lot of Google alerts you may find that your email inbox is becoming clogged with alerts that you never seem to have time to read.  I recently discovered a way that not only clears your inbox but makes it easier to manage your alerts.  Using Google Alerts in conjunction with Google Reader makes the process simple.

If you are not using Google Alerts already on how to get started, we recommend using it in conjunction with a Gmail account as it makes it easy to sync it to your Google Reader.
