This weeks videocast shows you how to find leads on Linkedin.
To be really effective you need to do more than connect with the people you find. If they accept your information you need to push the relationship further. Make sure you are interacting with the content they share and get involved in relevant conversation threads.
Here’s how to use LinkedIn advanced search to find customers and valuable connections:
If you really want to warm up the relationship you can message them and ask them to meet some time for coffee and a chat to see how you might be able to help each other out.

Good tip – I have to admit I don’t use Linked In to its full potential at all and I should be. I update my profile regularly and contribute regularly to a few groups but I know I should be doing more to actively connect with others. This is an excellent tip to motivate me to action! 🙂
I too neglect Linkedin too much. It’s a great network and I get lots of business from it. This function is just brilliant.
Very helpful. I really do think that LinkedIN is a a key player when it comes to getting business through social media. It’s definitely worked for me. I am taking part in a digital health conference next month and the approach came through LinkedIn.
This is very timely as I’m on the verge of writing a press release and actively looking for customers for my new workplace garden product and Linkedin was recommended as a place to start (but I didn’t know how). I’ll definitely be using this, thanks.
Glad you found it helpful Dee 🙂
Yes I often neglect Linkedin but it has in the past been fabulous for getting new customers 🙂
I’m about to go strong on LinkedIn for finding new leads and this is mighty helpful. Thanks again, Amanda.
