Farewell @Jack
Does a CEO make a company? Social Media platforms often seem to have a figurehead at the top of their business. For Facebook it’s Zuck, for Twitter it’s Jack. Jack Dorsey was one of the founders of Twitter, left as CEO for a while, came back and now he’s gone again.
Is this good or bad? It’s hard to know. It seems he was under pressure from investors to innovate, and Twitter has done that over the last year. Will we notice a difference under the new boss? We’ll have to wait and see.

Instagram Poll stickers for Reels
How do you get more engagement on your Instagram Reels? Ask a question, and even better if you can do that using a Poll sticker. Instagram is rolling out the Poll sticker for Reels. This could be a good way to take your relationship with viewers beyond the like.
It will be interesting to see if they work the same way as they do on Stories. If so it could be a great way to follow up with your viewers.
YouTube Search Insights
YouTube is a search engine, but it’s incomplete. How can they make it complete? Help creators fill the gaps.
A new feature called ‘Search Insights’ will show YouTube creators what their video viewers search for to find them and what people are searching for on YouTube in general based on a keyword.
Both of these features will reveal searches that are a ‘content gap’, a term that there is no exact match video. All you need to do to get seen for that search term is make a video. A win both for creators who will get more reach, and YouTube who will have a more complete search engine.
TikTok Business Registration
You can now register your business on TikTok. If you do this you get early access to features and allow you to add your business category to your profile.
Once you’ve registered you can’t change for 3 months. But it’s not verification, just registration. Which is curious. Is this an incentive to more businesses to switch to a business account?
Post Inspiration from Facebook
What will you post on social media today? Facebook wants to make it easier for businesses to post content and it’s helping by adding a new feature to Creator Studio. You’ll soon be able to access a content library of inspiration from other pages. You can search for a page or narrow suggestions by category.
They’ll also suggest popular hashtags for you to use.
This will be great for businesses who struggle to post regularly on the platform or who feel their content needs a boost.
