LinkedIn Invite To Company Pages Is back
- Admins only with over 3 connections
- Only invite when page is less than 10,000 followers
- Only invite each person once
- NEW – only 50 invites per session
TikTok Features Coming to Instagram
- Reels launched in Brazil this week
- Reels lets you make 15-second video clips set to music and share them as Stories, with the potential to go viral on a new Top Reels section of Explore. Just like TikTok, users can soundtrack their Reels with a huge catalog of music, or borrow the audio from anyone else’s video to create a remix of their meme or joke
- Not sure it will work…

Facebook pay being rolled out to US
- Pay for everything directly on Facebook
- Including purchases from select shops
- Real time chat support apparently
- Make transactions on Facebook easier in the future without leaving the app
- But do we trust them?

Google informing users of slow loading websites
- On Chrome only
- Badge tells you site loads slowly
- I actually think this will make people wait for site to load rather than abandoning, will be interesting to see

- Now – Mix formats photo/video

- Will it combat things like the edited news clip?
- place a notice next to Tweets that share synthetic or manipulated media;
- warn people before they share or like Tweets with synthetic or manipulated media; or
- add a link – for example, to a news article or Twitter Moment – so that people can read more about why various sources believe the media is synthetic or manipulated.

Got the TikTok app, made a profile but all I see is just a load of kids dancing or singing. No real indication of how to use it. Don’t like it … same feeling I have about SnapChat.
I did a lot of work on my 3 websites as regards page speed so I installed some image optimisation plugins and also a cache and compression plugin and I got a 60% boost on page speed.
On one site, I also removed a complete section from the front page which I found people were never looking at. I used heat maps to find that nobody really clicked on the lower section.
So combining the optimisation plugins and also removing unnecessary content I sped up the site quite well.
I agree on the hosting & the reduction of plugins.
Page speed, I actually used a combination of https://gtmetrix.com , https://website.grader.com and https://developers.google.com/speed
I just wanted to see what each site gave me as a result.
