I’ve reviewed Facebook cover photo applications before, since then some of my favourite apps have included templates for a cover photo as part of their offering.
Check out Pagemodo and PicMonkey now include the option to create or crop images to fit the size.
As part of the Facebook for Business Advanced course that I’m currently teaching on We Teach Social I started looking for another alternative. I was specifically looking for an app that would help create integrated Facebook cover and avatar images.
I have been using Facebook Cover Banner but I find it clunky and I have to keep clicking and clicking to get where I want to be. Even then the dimensions seem to be slightly off. So for this weeks cool tool I thought I try and find an alternative.
The one I discovered, Easy Cover Maker is very similar to Facebook Cover Banner but it involves less clicking. I can pretty much go to the home page and start creating.
The other nice thing about this app is you can choose to make a personal cover, a business page cover or a Google+ cover.
Here’s how it works
Scroll down and choose what sort of cover you want to make by clicking it in the menu bar.
To add your photograph click on ‘Add Image’ in the menu bar at the top
Once you have uploaded your image you can make it bigger or smaller and tilt it. You can keep adding images if you want it to be a montage.
If you want to add some text click on the text box and type your wording into the box provided.
Once you have finished editing just click either ‘both’ ‘cover’ or ‘profile’ to download your work.
It downloads as a zip file so you will need to expand it before you can upload to Facebook. In most cases you’ll just need to double click the file to do this.
